Braces?
For most people, a beautiful smile is the most obvious benefit of orthodontics. After your braces come off, you’ll feel more self-confident. During your treatment, we want you to feel as comfortable as possible.
Being able to incorporate orthodontics into our practice has allowed a more comprehensive approach to treating our patients. Dr. Jeff has been doing traditional braces at our clinic since 2013. The method that he uses is called Tip-Edge which is a variation of the same method used by most orthodontists. Traditional braces can be used on just about any age patient at our clinic, but are usually used on adolescents and adults that have never had orthodontic treatment before. Traditional braces treatment times vary from 1-3 years. There is no head gear or spacers involved in the methods that Dr. Jeff currently uses. Elastics or rubber bands connecting the top and bottom arches are frequently used and are an integral component to braces.
Dr. Jeff has also been doing Invisalign since 2013 as well. Invisalign has advanced and evolved over the years and is able to handle more and more difficult cases each year. Invisalign is advancing to be able to be used on younger and younger patients all the time. Dr. Jeff is currently using them on patients as young as teenagers. Invisalign is mostly used on adult patients at this time in our office and offers many advantages. There is the ability to remove them to clean and eat food as normal as well as their limited visibility which makes them so popular. Dr. Jeff believes that Invisalign may be a bit more limited in more advanced movements within the mouth when compared to traditional braces, but the option to have more customized or limited movements is another advantage that Invisalign has. We can move just the front teeth, or just move a single arch of teeth, or use them to correct some relapse that has happened from a previous orthodontic treatment. Please come in for a complimentary consultation to discuss these options and to get Dr. Jeff’s opinion on what would be best for your teeth.
